Dr. Chunqing Liu is a Sr. R&D Fellow and Sr. Manager at Honeywell UOP. She currently leads the Membranes, Polymers, and Green H2 Discovery Group, focusing on pioneering membrane technologies for clean energy transition. Her work includes natural gas upgrading, green hydrogen production, CO2 capture, fuel cells, and hydrogen separation and purification. Dr. Liu holds 110 U.S. patents, five authored book chapters, and over 50 peer-reviewed publications. In 2024, she was elected as a Member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and has received numerous awards, both within Honeywell and beyond. She has actively contributed to various advisory boards and committees in academia and has mentored more than 30 undergraduate and graduate students from the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Belgium. Dr. Liu earned her Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China. Prior to joining UOP in 2004, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northwestern University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
